Our Aims and Objectives

Following the Montessori philosophy, we aim to provide an environment which includes all aspects of learning - intellectual, physical, emotional and social. We aim to enable a child’s confidence to develop through freedom and independence within the school, using the carefully prepared learning environment and specially trained staff. With a framework of simple ground rules and boundaries the children learn to acquire skills, from utilising their environment, whilst fuelling their knowledge from a broad curriculum.

Using the Montessori method, our Curriculum concentrates on the following desirable outcomes:

Practical Life

Simple exercises that allow the children to develop practical skills and that encourage co-ordination and concentration through the care of self and the environment.

Sensorial

Widely varied apparatus and equipment that also allows development of key skills, co-ordination and concentration.
